"Dear friends and fans,
over the past five years I have learned a lot about music, a lot about the road and a lot about life. But one of the most important things I learned was that without the support of people who believe in what we do all this ain't worth a dime. I want to thank all the people who helped us to get this far. But I believe this is not even close to where we can go. The first chapter of the story is now written, but for the many chapters to come - I hope that you will be my "co-writers" again!
I hope to see you very soon -
God bless you,
Mitch"
The disbanding of the Scullys has also consequences for the And Band. Since the And Band members were also involved with the Scullys, Daniel, Gary, Sebastian and Mitch decided to go seperate ways for the time being. As soon as information about the new lineup of the And Band is available we will let you know!
Scully Cording confirmed the end of an era at what turned out to be the last gig of the 12-piece band on 02/05. Rumours existed since February that the band was unable to cope with the pressure of hard rehearsals and gigs and therefor would have to reduce their activities. Although obviously not all of the Scullys are happy with the situation, Scully emphasized that the members will only quit playing as a band but not being friends. The "Orchestra" was Mitch's first band and helped him gain a loyal following not only among hardcore blues fans. Due to the circumstances the Band's tour dates for summer 2008 are cancelled without exception.

In December 2006 Mitch recorded a live gig with the Groove Chapter . He played on four songs and contributed lead vocals to the classic "People Get Ready".
